LearnHub is committed to eliminating Discrimination and Harassment in the use of its website and within its Institute. LearnHub does not encourage or tolerate discrimination or harassment on the ground of disability, race, ethnicity, religion, color, sex, age, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, ancestry, pregnancy, or any other
basis prohibited by law.
LearnHub values diversity and recognises that executive learning is greatly enhanced through the wide and disparate range of backgrounds, experiences, views, beliefs, and cultures represented within our staff and student groups.
Scope:
This policy applies to all students and prospective students, to all faculty with the Institute, to all staff employed on a full-time or part-time basis, to all staff on permanent or temporary contracts, to agents, contractors and sub-contractors
undertaking work and visitors within our facility.
Definitions:
Any undefined capitalized terms used within this policy will have the same meaning as they do in the Terms (link to terms and Conditions).
Discrimination In using our website, it is considered discrimination to base any decision on the provision or receipt of training on race, ethnicity, religion, color, sex, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, ancestry, pregnancy, or any other characteristic protected by law;
Harassment Harassment consists of unwelcome verbal or visual or written conduct that is based on another person’s race, ethnicity, religion, disability, color, sex, age, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, ancestry, pregnancy, or any other characteristic protected by law, which may offend or humiliate the individual it is directed to.
Harassment includes actions such as the use of epithets, slurs, negative stereotyping, jokes, or threatening, intimidating or hostile acts that relate to sex, race, ethnicity, age, or other protected categories. Harassment also may include written or graphic material showing hostility toward an individual or group based on protected characteristics, whether that material is sent by email, displayed on computer screens or other devices.
Sexual Harassment:
Sexual harassment is any unwanted and unwelcomed behavior of a sexual nature. It can involve conduct by a person of either gender toward a person of the same or opposite gender.
Lodging a Compliant:
While LearnHub is not responsible for issues between Faculty and Students, we take issues of harassment and discrimination very seriously and will take all reasonable measures to ensure that the website and Institute remains a safe environment for all users. We encourage you to come forward with a complaint on any actual or perceived cases of harassment or discrimination at the earliest possible time.
If you believe that you have been a target of discrimination or harassment or inappropriate behaviour whilst using our website or attending a session facilitated through our website, please report the incident in writing via email to the
Management Team. LearnHub shall within 3 business days of receiving your complaint discontinue all communication/points of contact between the complainant and the subject of the complaint.
If necessary, LearnHub shall investigate the complaint to establish violation of any of Our Terms. If a violation is found, LearnHub shall take necessary action to address the incidence and to restore safety and mutual respect on the website, which may include termination of a facilitator or students account on the website.
Where the Incidence constitutes a criminal act or a violation of the personal rights of a complainant and such complainant wishes to prosecute the subject of the complaint; LearnHub shall provide necessary support to the extent permitted under our Terms
(including our Privacy Policy or Applicable Law) to enable such complainant to pursue further legal action against a facilitator or a student (as the case may be).
LearnHub assures you that the investigation of a complaint made against anyone using the website, shall be transparent, handled promptly, confidentially, and impartially, and where discrimination or harassment is established, appropriate sanctions will be enforced. Be assured that when you lodge a complaint on discrimination or harassment, your complaint is kept confidential to the extent required by applicable law and will only be assessed by LearnHub employees authorized to resolve such conflicts
